Trauma Care (DSTC + DATC) course
Definitive Surgical and Anaesthesiological Trauma Care (DSTC + DATC) course is organized in
Athens, Greece, 16. – 18.5.2018 by the Finnish Trauma Association in co-operation with the
Experimental – Research Center ELPEN under the licence of International Association for Trauma
and Intensive Care (IATSIC).
The course contains both lectures and operational ‘hands on’ sessions running over 3 days. The
DSTC + DATC is designed to teach surgeons and anaesthesiologists strategic thinking and decision
making in the management of severely injured patients and provide them with practical surgical
skills to manage major organ injuries.
The course faculty consists of internationally recognized traumasurgeons and anaesthesiologists,
and is directed by Professor Elias Degiannis accompanied by local Finnish faculty members.
Course language is English.
Course fee is 1550 e + VAT 24% including flight tickets, accommodation in a convenient hotel,
transportations, teaching, course material and manual, meals and coffee mentioned in course
program and a course dinner. Course fee does not include personal insurances and travel costs in
Finland. If a candidate wishes to change flights / travel arrangements included in the price, needs
he/she make the changes and cover all the change fees / extra costs personally. In case of personal
changes made, will the person be in responsible of organizing all the transportations him/herself.

Depart from Helsinki on Tuesday, May 15, 2018
Arrive to Helsinki on Saturday, May 19, 2018
The paid course fee is considered as a confirmation of participating the course. Please note
carefully: The Finnish Trauma Association is not able to return the costs due to possible changes /

Participants are limited to 16 surgeons and four anesthesiologists.
